Hi! Maybe you were surprised to learn that there are web sites that help people cheat on their spouse. Or maybe you knew all about them, or were even one of the nervous ones last week when it became apparent that user details had been hacked, and might be leaked to the public. It’s not surprising that such secrets get revealed sooner or later – just like the Bible verse about how what is done in the darkness so often comes into the light. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+12%3A2-3&version=NIV
What would Jesus say about all this? He wants people to be happy, doesn’t he? Yes, He does!
That’s why He’s very clear that married people are to be true to their spouse, not break their hearts by being unfaithful. God wants to bless married people with deep, rich, intimate relationships. We are meant to be satisfied, and to satisfy each other within our marriages, so that there’s no need and no call to “look elsewhere”. It is good for married people to act like grown-ups, and keep the promises they’ve made to each other, looking to grow and thrive in a healthy relationship.
Marriage is to be a joyful, fulfilling union. When it’s not, it’s time for spouses to seek help, do whatever work needs to be done to rebuild the relationship, and create an atmosphere in which love and friendship, companionship and mutually satisfying sexual expression can thrive.
If you need help working through these things, get in touch with me, and we can talk more about resources that are available to support you in your marriage relationship.
Life is short. Stay faithful!
